Wasp Nest

In class, Miro and Solly, two of the students from our class, brought a wasp nest to school and we had to write what it looked, felt and what we thought about it. Here is my description of the wasp nest!

Wasp Nest
Today, Miro brought a wasp nest to class. He got his dad to pour diesel to poison the nest because wasps are pests. He had been picking raspberries, and had spotted it sitting inside a tyre in the back garden.

The wasps have been chewing up wood to make their wasp nest. The outside of the wasp nest has patterns. When we opened the wasps nest up we only saw three columns, but we only opened it up halfway. Only two wasps survived the diesel attack, while the rest died.

When I felt the wasp nest it felt like old shriveled up leaves. The cells in the wasps nest were shaped hexagonal. Surrounding the wasps nest were roots.
I saw a wasp grub come out of one of the cells.

In conclusion, I really like how they brought the wasp nest to school for everyone to see.
